These certainly aren’t cigars for the faint-hearted, and we typically suggest that only more experienced smokers pick up Partagas cigars. The cigars bring a powerful spicy and earthy flavour with the smoke which can be too much for those not used to smoking.
The brand name Partagas belongs to two separate lines of cigars that are produced by different and competing businesses. The first is a line of Cuban cigars, produced for Habanos SA. The other is made in the Dominican Republic, which contains no Cuban tobacco, and is made for the General Cigar Company.
The Partagas name is known as being one of the highest selling cigars in the world, second to the celebrated Montecristo. Check out the Serie D No.4, as this is considered the headline of the brand.
