Trinidad Cigars

TRINIDAD CIGARS

Much like Cohiba, Trinidad cigars started their life as an exclusive cigar that would only be given to foreign officials as gifts. Having initially started production in 1969, the cigars were eventually made available for the general public in 1998, some 29 years later!

Until 2003, there was only one size of Trinidad cigars, Fundadores, a 40 ring gauge cigar measuring 192mm. With the introduction of new sizes, Trinidad’s livery and cigar band were updated to recognise the prestige that the brand commanded.

Trinidad cigars take their name from the town of Trinidad in the south of Cuba, which was once known as La Santisima Trinidad (the holy trinity). Currently, there are six sizes of Trinidad cigars, all of which are hand-made at the factory in Pinar del Rio, close to the famous Vuelta Abajo plantations, where its uniquely fragrant and aromatic blend of filler and binder leaves come from.

Trinidad cigars are a steady choice for smoking, with a medium body and packed with your favourite Cuban flavours. All sizes of Trinidad are ‘Tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade vitolas.

Trinidad Coloniales Cigar Single

The Trinidad Coloniales has to be one of the most refined and well balanced cigars on the market. Very smooth and creamy with hints of coffee, cedar and light earth flavour. The Trinidad Coloniales reminds us of a Cohiba Siglo II but with a bit more subtlety. Length in Millimetres – 132 Ring Gauge – 44 Strength – Medium Origin – Cuba

  • £47.50
Trinidad Vigia Cigar Single

Trinidad’s newest addition, the Vigía, is the exact opposite of its first cigar, the Fundadores. Rather than being long and slender, this cigar is short and squat. While it maintains Trinidad’s signature pigtail cap, its heavy ring gauge offers an abundant smoke, lush with earthy truffle notes, oakiness and a warm nutty finish. Vigía is named for the watchtowers in the Cuban city of Trinidad erected to observe the sugarcane fields. Length in Millimetres – 110 Ring Gauge – 54 Strength – Medium Origin – Cuba

  • £55.00
Trinidad Reyes Cigar Single

The Trinidad Reyes is easily one of the best smaller cigars around. Wonderful smoke from start to finish, you can see why Cigar Aficionado gave it 96 out of 100. Length in Millimetres – 110 Ring Gauge – 40 Strength – Medium Origin – Cuba
